PEOPLE. PURPOSE. CONTACT.

A trade perspective.
A person behind it.

BIMTA is convened by Steven Spry, a BIM specialist, consultant and instructor based in Ottawa.

The purpose is to help Canadian trade contractors understand digital requirements, price the work and use information in the shop and on site. BIMTA is an independent initiative. It does not issue standards or certification, and listing a resource does not imply endorsement by its publisher.

Start with something useful.

The learning guides, pricing tools, resource directories and online Trade Brief are available without an account. The forum is open to read. Contributing currently requires ChatGPT sign-in.

The AI page explains infrastructure, contractor use cases and data considerations. It is educational content, not an AI service.

Get in touch.

For a correction, partnership enquiry or question about BIMTA, email Steven. No site account is needed.

Evidence before expansion.

We are seeking five trade companies to test existing resources and identify what helps. Recruitment targets are not membership figures. Results will distinguish measured outcomes, examples and opinions.
